NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. stocks opened little changed on Thursday as economic data gave some respite to investors worried that the lack of a deal on how to handle the Greek debt crisis could trigger disorderly market moves and crimp liquidity.
The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI) was down 10.82 points, or 0.09 percent, at 11,886.45. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (.SPX) was down 0.19 points, or 0.02 percent, at 1,265.23. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC) was down 3.79 points, or 0.14 percent, at 2,627.67.
